INTERNATIONAL
CONTRACTS AND SOLUTION
OF CONTROVERSIES
The international
contract is an agreement between two or more physical or moral people,
domiciled in different countries, with which they determine the
rights and obligations of both parts.
There are different
contractual forms to develop activities of international trade.
The following contracts are usually used to export and import merchandise:
" Sales
contracts with one single transaction”
" Off supply (modality of the sale and purchase contract) it
includes repeated orders of the same product, agreed upon in one
single contract
" Off commission”, representation or mercantile distribution
" Off license” for the use or exploitation of a patent
or a mark
The international
contracts can be informal, confirmed by a verbal agreement, or by
an exchange of documents; or they can be formal through written
contracts which is more advisable.
